As children we are always delving into self discovery and filled with excitement about our lives. Friends, there is much more to discover about you than you know! It doesn't matter how old you are, there is more to discover and more to achieve! You have untapped talents and passions that will make your life an exciting place.
Adulthood makes us feel that we have to put all that behind us, when in reality it's the first time we are truly free to pursue it all! Take a drawing class, learn how to scuba dive, jump out of a plane, write a song, do something that makes you glad to be alive! Moms and Dads especially, get out and spend time alone doing things you love, marriage and families are wonderful but you are still an individual that needs time and attention! Think about your children and what you want them to think and feel about their lives and then set the example! Do something that makes you glad to be YOU! You are not a project to be fixed and solved, focus on enjoying who you are and discovering what makes life an exciting place! ❤️ The first step for me was carving out time to care for myself! I joined an amazing group of ladies that were searching for the same thing and it changed my life! It sparked something in me that led me to start living a life I loved! If you know you need to make a change, join us! http://wearebeingtransformed.weebly.com/join-a-challenge-group.html

In a medium bowl, toss zucchini, tomatoes, and onion with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and salt & pepper. 2. In a shallow baking dish, arrange the vegetables in an even layer. Place into the oven on the middle rack and roast for 10 minutes. 3. After 10 minutes, remove from the oven and place fish on top of the vegetables and return to the top rack of the oven and roast the cod for 7-10 minutes depending on the thickness of your fish. Cod is done when it can be easily flaked through the center with a fork. 4. Finish the fish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and serve with brown or long grain wild rice. Enjoy! :) Greatness isn't something you are born into, it's something you create. It's for those that are willing to discover and pursue their passions. Who fail repeatedly, dust themselves off, and try again. They master their craft through blood, sweat, and tears and never lose sight of the goal. You have greatness inside of you, so get to it! ❤️
The most common thing I get asked about as a coach is motivation. People are always looking to gain that edge that will keep them moving forward in their fitness journey.
I had a conversation with a challenger and friend of mine recently that had initially lost 10-15 pounds and then, though she continued to work at it, was struggling with motivation. We had a talk about it and I was asking her how I could serve her, so she went and thought about it and what she came back to me with was very helpful. She was happy with her herself! She had reached her first goal and, truth be told, didn't really care about losing more weight! The original goal she set for herself no longer motivated her because it wasn't really what she wanted for herself. It was what she thought she should shoot for because of societies standards. This is important!! I talk a lot about seeing our worth and beauty and rejecting unattainable beauty standards and its an easy thing to say but its a lot harder to rewire our thinking. If you want to stay motivated you have to make sure that the goal you are setting for yourself is what you really want which means reevaluating regularly. Some people might set a goal and meet it and then get fired up and genuinely want to lose more, or really work on getting super fit, others might reach their first goal, like my friend, and realize they are happy in a healthy range for their body and would prefer to enjoy more food and less restrictions! For my height, my healthy range is 118 lbs - 159 pounds! That leaves a lot of room for preference and body type. If you are eating well, exercising regularly, and feel like you struggling with motivation, ask yourself what really matters to you? You can work out thirty minutes a day, eat clean 80% of the time and still have great results! If you are posting pictures of super models on your refrigerator to motivate you and its NOT motivating you, ask yourself, is that really want YOU want? Or are you simply trying to be what society is telling you should be? Stop comparing yourself to others and start thinking about what makes you feel beautiful! Make goals around what matters to you even if that's eating certain foods or spending three days working out a week and not seven. This is YOUR life, these are YOUR goals, make them true to you so you can feel good as you accomplish them and motivated to continue! If you want to chat about it, feel free to message me! I'd love to help you get your goals in place so you can crush them! |
