"Most people would like damages to their broken items to be concealed and hidden by repair making the object look like new. But the Japanese art of Kintsugi follows a different philosophy. Rather than disguising the breakage, kintsugi restores the broken item incorporating the damage into the aesthetic of the restored item, making it part of the object’s history. Kintsugi uses lacquer resin mixed with powdered gold, silver, platinum, copper or bronze, resulting into something more beautiful than the original." Kaushik
We all get broken. The heartaches, the disappointment, the betrayal, the injustice, they come in varying degrees and at different times, but they happen to us all. It's not what happens to you or even what you have done that defines you, it's what you do with the broken pieces in the end. What will you create out of the brokenness? Will you choose to love, yourself and others? With you choose to trust? Will you choose to stand up and try again? Will you choose to live? I got knocked down a few years back and it took four long years before I was even willing to pick up the pieces in my life, but putting them back together and sharing them vulnerably and authentically with others became the gold that made my life even more beautiful than it was before. Coaching is part of my restorative journey. It's redeemed my pain and even made me glad to have experienced it! The road back has helped me lead others out of dark places and I've found my calling in that! ❤️ A healed life on display brings hope and strength to others. It's the most important work we do. While the end result is indeed beautiful, it's the work repairing it that made it valuable in the first place! Your brokenness can become your strength. Your story is powerful! ❤️ I'm having a no obligation coach sneak peak on Saturday, if you are curious about coaching or would like to know if it's a good fit for you, come join us!
