I used to tell myself that I was too busy. Too busy to work out everyday, too busy to read personal development everyday, too busy to make time for myself. I was drowning in the amount of work and responsibilities I had until I realized that I had control of my schedule!
Yes, things like laundry and dishes and grocery shopping and cleaning have to be done but do they have to be done NOW? Won't they have to be done again later? Can't I take 30 minutes for myself today and do lunch and dinner dishes tonight? Can't I ask my husband to take on a responsibility that will free me up to take a breather? I needed to make my health, inside and out, a priority. Once I put myself into the schedule and released myself from mom guilt and shame, my life improved exponentially! We have to remember we aren't just mothers and wives and household managers. We are women, we are individuals, we are souls that need care! Feeling overwhelmed, feeling discouraged, feeling unhappy or frustrated or numb, those are all signs that our priorities are not in the right order. It's time to reevaluate and put ourselves on the list! We can't serve from an empty vessel! Doing what's best for our families mean taking ourselves into account to! We are members too, you know! 😉 There are infinite choices in life and sometimes we have to say to good things to experience what's best for us! Choose wisely!
